Add pictures to your Access tab controls
Takeaway: Say it with a picture—by adding a picture to your Access tabs! Mary Ann Richardson explains how you can create visual aids by adding pictures to your Access tabs.
Sometimes a picture says it better. Adding a picture to an Access tab control makes it easier to identify its function. For example, you can add a picture of a printer to a tab that includes commands for previewing and printing reports; or a picture of an address book to a tab that includes commands for searching employee addresses. Follow these steps:
- Open the form in Design View.
- Click the Tab control tool in the Toolbox.
- Click and drag where you want the tab to be located in your form.
- Double-click the Page1 tab.
- Under Format, click in the Caption property box and enter Print record.
- Click in the Picture property box and click the Build button.
- Select Printer from the Available Pictures List and click OK.
- Double-click on the Page2 tab.
- Under Format, click in the Caption property box and enter Find Addresses.
- Click in the Picture property box and click the Build button.
- Select Address Book from the Available Pictures List and click OK.
