Get more room when organizing your Favorites in Windows XP

If you're like most IT pros, you probably have a lot of items on your Windows XP Favorites menu. To keep all your items organized, you can pull down the Favorites menu in Internet Explorer and select Organize Favorites. You'll see a set of tools for reorganizing your Favorites menu in the Organize Favorites dialog box. There are times when the small size of this dialog box makes it difficult to perform the massive reorganization tasks that are often necessary, and a full-sized Explorer window is necessary.

Fortunately, there's an easy way to access the Favorites folder in Windows Explorer right from the Favorites menu. Here's how:

1. Pull down the Favorites menu.
2. Hold down [Shift].
3. Click the Organize Favorites command.

Now you'll be able to work with the Favorites folder from within Windows Explorer.

Note: This tip applies to both Windows XP Home and Windows XP Professional.
